BSc., BVMS, MRCVS

I Started my career in  mixed practice but after two years I decided to concentrate solely on small animals and I have a particular interest in surgery and orthopaedics. I practice mainly traditional medicine but also feel there is a place for some complementary therapies in the veterinary field. As such I am undertaking training in acupuncture techniques which I am keen to use for pain management in my small animal patients. I can issue pet passports as part of my role as a local Veterinary Inspector and having  worked in a busy practice in Chelmsford for the last five years I am pleased to be coming back to the countryside near to where I live with my husband, three year old daughter and two dogs.

Small Animal Veterinary Nurse

I first started nursing in a privite small animal practice in 1994. I worked there for 11 years, then in 2005 moved practices and worked in a 24 emergency hospital. I was there for 6 years and was fortunate enough to gain lots of experience in both surgical and critical care nursing. I moved to Blaircourt last November to work in the new small animal clinic. Am enjoying the new clinic and is making a welcomed changed to also be able to do some work with the horses as well as the small animals which I had wanted to do for many years. I hope to complete my vet nurses training over the next 2 years to become a qualified veterinary nurse, with the hope to one day go on to specialise in critical care nursing. At home I have a chocolate Labrador puppy called ‘ Hugo’& GSD ‘Molly’, and 3 cats ‘Sid’,’Frank’&’Alfie Large’ who are all strays that I have taken home over the years, each with their own story to tell. I have my own horse ‘George’ who I have owned for many years and enjoy looking after and riding him in my spare time.
