Blaircourt Pet Clinic – Terms of Business
Fees
Payment of all fees is due at the end of each consult or upon collection of your pet when discharged, and/or upon collection of all drugs, prescriptions or other items. We accept all major credit/debit cards (other than American Express), cash or cheque (which must be accompanied by a cheque guarantee card). We regret that we are unable to provide any services on account.
Our staff are happy to provide estimates of costs of treatment at your request, however these may vary from the final amount.
Insurance
The contract of insurance is between you and your insurance company. You are responsible for all fees in accordance with our terms of payment above, which you must then claim back from your insurers. We will endeavour to process our paperwork promptly to assist your claim.
Outstanding Fees
If for any reason an account is not settled within 14 days a late payment fee of £15.00 + VAT will be applied to your account every 14 days the account remains outstanding. Should the account remain outstanding beyond 30 days court proceedings will follow, a further charge of £35.00 + VAT will be added to your account to cover our own administration costs, plus you will incur costs imposed by the court. We also reserve the right to pass your debt onto outside debt collectors.
Repeat Prescriptions
Please give us 48hrs notice for repeat prescriptions. It will be necessary for us to examine your pet on a regular basis (every 3 – 6 months) for us to provide repeat prescriptions; this is the law and something we have to adhere to.
Out of Hours Service
We provide a 24hr emergency service
